Mkpang Ita (PhD) has sixteen years of experience treating people with mental illnesses as the Assistant Director of Clinical Psychology at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro in Abeokuta, Nigeria. His expertise in child and adolescent clinical psychology enables him to provide evidence-based therapies to children, adolescents, and families living with behavioural and emotional health challenges. He obtained his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ibadan, where he developed a strong commitment to advancing professional psychological care. His work has contributed to establishing Neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro as a national centre of excellence in psychological treatment and mental health services.

Mkpang has earned recognition from the Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychologists, where he serves as the Assistant General Secretary, and from the Nigerian Correctional Service, where he is a member of the Ogun State Parole Board. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Mkpang finds joy in uplifting people. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and watching movies—activities that help him relax and stay inspired.
