Dr. Samson Olowo Kolawole (BSc, MSc, PhD) is a distinguished, renowned and seasoned Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria with a strong background of over 15 years of experience in research, teaching, and clinical practice dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being. Dr Kolawole has worked in various settings, applying his expertise to support individuals and communities through evidence-based practice and compassionate care. Dr Kolawole does research in Clinical and Health Psychology with focus on mental health, well-being and preventive health behaviour, with an emphasis on the Nigerian context.

He has published numerous research papers in national and international journals on topics such as academic stress, mental health, and COVID-19 knowledge and perceptions. He is passionate about providing expert mental health care, promoting wellness, and supporting individuals and communities through tailored interventions and evidence-based practice. Currently, Dr Kolawole is the Editor of POLAC Journal of Social and Management Sciences (PJSMS) and Associate Editor of Nigerian Journal of Clinical Psychology (NJCP).
