The Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychology commits to its vision through a mission based on the following core values

Continual pursuit of excellence Application of knowledge based on the scientist-practitioner model. The goal of the scientist-practitioner model is to increase scientific growth within clinical psychology in Nigeria Scientist-practitioner model calls for graduate programs to engage and develop psychologists’ backgrounds in psychological theory, fieldwork, and research methodology. Outstanding service to its members and to society Social justice, diversity, and inclusion Ethical code of conduct of the association

OUR SERVICES


Standardization of training curriculum

  1. Standardization of practice issues and accreditation of training institutions
  2. Regulation of the practice of clinical psychology
  3. Regulation of private practice, research and scientific development
  4. Continuing practice education and clinical skills acquisition via workshops and seminars
  5. Improve NACP’s business models, member communications and the convention to increase member engagement.
  6. Analyze the Clinical psychology workforce to meet national needs.
  7. Continue to develop and promulgate treatment guidelines to promote the translation of psychological science into health interventions.
  8. Continue to expand the NAACP's public education campaign
  9. Expand opportunities for graduate education and continued professional development for Clinical psychologists and psychology students in order to advance the discipline's 
  10. participation in interdisciplinary health delivery and interdisciplinary science. Increase support for research, training, public education and interventions that address and reduce health disparities among underserved populations.
  11. Forge alliances with healthcare organizations to increase the number of Clinical psychologists working in integrated healthcare settings
